Abstract:
The diary documents Austin's trips to Europe from the United States in 1873, 1875, and circa 1879. Austin records her travels through France and Italy, particularly her impressions of the buildings, gardens, and people she encounters. The diary also includes an itinerary for travels from 1862 to 1882. The diary includes a 1875 carte-de-visite of Austin's brother, Cecil K. Austin taken August 5, 1875 in Innsbruck, Austria by Friedrich Bopp.
