At the center of the sheet stands John Bull, hands clasped in prayer, as Sheridan and Fox force the bread of liberty into his wide open mouth as they pick his pocket. On either side of the three stands a gallows and the Temple Bar. In each of the four corners in similar scenes, labelled clockwise from upper left, Holland, Savoy, German & Prussia, red-capped French sansculottes try to force the bread of liberty down recognizable national stereotypes from these four nations as they loot the terrfied citizens

A preacher stands behind his pulpit shouting and waving his arms at the crowd who stands before him. Several in the crowd are vendors who care their wares in baskets or pots balanced on their heads. A young, well-dressed man (right) holds a handkerchief to his nose as he recoils from one of the vendors; he holds a game bad in his hand (?).

Abstract:
Trade card of Thomas Frederick Salter, a milliner who ran several shops in London during the late eighteenth century and first half of the nineteenth century. The shopfront of his longest-standing premises at 47 Charing Cross is depicted at the bottom of the card, its windows full of hats in various styles, mostly men's hats. At the top of the card a depiction of the process of hat making, showing a team of men working on different elements of the manufacturing process
