- An engraved writing sheet illustrated with seven scenes from Gay’s Fables, each titled above and with rhyming couplet below. At head, and the largest scene, is ‘The Shepherd and the Philosopher’; six smaller scenes form the right and left borders below. A garlanded oval, designed to carry a hand-inserted date-line, is engraved at the foot above the imprint

- Title engraved at top of plate, on either side of the image of "The shepherd and the philosopher.", Watermark: [...]anshaw., and Sheet annotated in ink with the name 'Thomas Harbidge' and the date 'Decr. 19. 1787' in the blank oval at foot. Written in manuscript in black ink at the center of the sheet are three passages, beginning with 'Education either makes or mars us, and governments as well as private families, are concerned in it’s [sic] consequences, abcde’, and concluding with 'Good books are a guide in youth, and an entertainment for age, they support us under solitude and keep us from being a burden to ourselves'.

- A writing sheet illustrated with scenes from Thomas Dibdin’s pantomime, first performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, on Boxing Day 1806 and a few months before this sheet was issued. There were at least twelve different scenes in Dibdin’s work, from which nine were chosen to illustrate the borders of the sheet. Another illustration at the foot of the sheet shows a carriage and a wagon followed by soldiers on horseback on a bridge over a river

- Abstract:
- Drawings of various complexity, presumably by a boy and for him by an adult, which depict figures and activities of fictitious nations on sheets of a ledger volume, circa 1899-1900. Drawings consist primarily of military figures, inhabitants, indigenous animals, and naval ships of Browlia, Frowlia, and Souv, in addition to a map of the nation of Browlia, a Browlian postage stamp, and flags for the nations Browlia and Ounyhonte. Several of the drawings are on sheets, which are then mounted on leaves of the ledger volume. Other items include two photographic prints that depict the boy, poetry and songs in English and Browlian, a clipping of lines from a Welsh religious publication that may have inspired the Browlian language, and eighteen collages created from magazine halftone images. The creator provides English and Browlian commentary about drawings and items with pencil inscriptions as well as typescript created with a dollar typewriter.

Illustrations include, at the top, a battle scene; portraits of the British generals, Harris and Stuart; Tippoo Saib discovered among the slain, Tippoo's sons surrender; A sepoy upon a charge, An Indian soldier; Tippoo Sultan, Tippoo Sultan's wife; a design with flags, drums, cannons, swords and bugles. - Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of 12 sentimental acrostic poems on the writer's marriage and family members, and 1 incomplete verse on maternal love. The acrostic on the phrase "to Colonel James John Forbes Leith, of Whitehaught. By Williamina Helen Stewart. Forbes Leith of Whitehaugh" is annotated with Forbes Leith's date of birth and the date of their marriage. Ten other acrostics are based on the names of the children, including "William Forbes Leith, Second Son," and are annotated with the dates and places of birth of the children to whom the poems are written. The last acrostic is on Williamina's father and is an extensive acrostic on the phrase "Colonel James Stewart, of the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment, Second Son of Charles Stewart Esquire, of Shambelly, New Abbey, near Dumbries." and These poems are followed by a chart, in pencil in another hand, with an attendance list of names labeled "Footbal," and then by about 130 pages of notes in a shorthand, interspersed, and at times drawn over, with numerous crude drawings in pencil and other notes in a childish hand. The drawings are primarily combative scenes, including several of soldiers with guns, men punching each other, and a series of boxing images. The volume is signed numerous times by two young boys, Henry and Augustus Nightingale, with their address, 17 Victoria Villas, Richmond, Surrey.
