No decoration in art. 2., The paper is damaged by the acid ink in art. 1., and Binding: Between 1850 and 1900. Script: The main body of the manuscript (artt. 2-5) is copied by various hands in Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens. Art. 1 is in Gothica Cursiva Libraria (Bastarda); and art. 6 is in Gothica Cursiva Antiquior Libraria., Decoration: Limited; art. 1 is undecorated; artt. 2-6 contain red headings, stroking of majuscules, paragraph marks, and 2-line plain initials. There are three identical 15th century ownership inscriptions of the Salvatorberg Charterhouse, belonging to the Carthusians in Erfurt, Germany., Binding: Original undecorated red pigskin over bevelled wooden boards, sewn on four split leather thongs. Description:
In Latin., Script: copied probably by one scribe writing Gothica Cursiva Libraria. When the first letter on a page is a majuscule it is as a rule made larger, with some calligraphic development., Red stroking of majuscules and underlining, red plain generally 3-line initials., Leaves are badly waterstained in the outer lower corner in the second half of the manuscript., and Binding: 15th-16th century. Parchment over light wooden boards; leather spine with three raised bands; marks of two clasps. At the top of the rear board there is an excavation for the staple to which a chain was attached. On the spine parchment label with the handwritten title (19th century?) “JOHANNES HEROLT / Sermones Discipuli / De Tempore / saec. XV. 1436.” At the top of the rear cover close to the spine a printed paper label containing space for a shelfmark covering a large capital “W”; the handwritten shelfmark is “5867”.

In Latin., Script: Copied by Jodocus Sparlützel in a single hand in Gothica Hybrida Libraria. The scribe is elsewhere given the name Jodocus Sparlützel (Swicker) de Wil., Decoration: Red stroking of the majuscules and red underlining. Red plain initials, normally 1-2 lines; the initial of the first lemma beginning with a given letter of the alphabet is larger (up to 7 lines) and may be a flourished initial with penwork in the same red colour. Many initials are given strange and fancy forms. Erroneous initials are found on ff. 109r, 246v, 248v. An initial “U” is missing on f. 246r, and in art. 4, no initials “T”, “X”, “Y” and “Z” were provided by the scribe., and Binding: Original binding, with a repaired spine, composed of (very damaged) undecorated brown leather over wooden boards, and sewn on three double cords(?), with plaited headbands. Five brass bosses are on each cover. Two clasps are attached to the rear board and rectangular engraved catches are on the front board. The inscription, in Northern Gothica Textualis Formata, is not deciphered.
