Part II (ff. 19-74): Written in various cursive hands., Folios 1v and 2r have crudely illuminated full-page miniatures, 17th century. Folio 1v: members of the Rodriguez family offering prayers to the Madonna and Child. Folio 2r: arms of the Tinagero Rodriguez de la Escalera family. Crude decorative border on f. 3v and REY (in gold, outlined in black) may be later additions., Many of the documents included appear to have once been folded. In Latin., Script: probably copied by a single hand writing Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens with Spanish features. Paragraph marks and headings in pale red ink. Red initials with reserved interior shapes, of various heights., Copy of the charter of Lothaire, King of the Franks (954-986), for the abbey of Sant Cugat, dated Compiègne, 986 January-February. The copy was made by Bernard of Caderita, notary at Barcelona, 1044 January 17. The manuscript contains confirmations of this charter by James I, King of Aragon (1213-1276), dated 1233 January 23, and Pedro IV, King of Aragon (1336-1387), dated 1338 April 20. The manuscript also contains documents about a lawsuit before the court of the bishop of Barcelona between the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallés and the town of Sant Cugat at the occasion of a fight between two inhabitants of the town and the wounds they received, 1273-1380. The Latin language of these documents is very ungrammatical., and Binding: no covers.

He holds a shield with the arms of Alfonso V, King of Aragon (d. 1458): per pale argent, a lion rampant gules; bendy of 4, argent and gules., 2-line red initials with penwork in black at beginning of each text section. Headings, paragraph marks, and strokes on initials, in red. Remains of directions to rubricator along lower edge., and Binding: Fifteenth century. Original sewing on three slit-strap, tawed supports laced to the inside of beech boards and pegged. Plain wound endbands with a secondary, multi-colored sewing on tawed cores. The spine is square and lined with vellum between supports, the sewing supports slightly defined. Covered in brown goatskin, blind-tooled with concentric frames, the spine diced. Two fastenings, the catches on the lower board decorated with floral designs, the clasps wanting. Repaired.

One 7-line initial (f. 88r) red, with purple penwork, with exuberant loops and flourishes extending into top and side margins. Depictions of various implements, in black, within text (ff. 37v, 72v, 114r, 115r, 125r, 127r, and 137r). 3-line initials, paragraph marks, and headings in red throughout (except f. 1r, on which, in keeping with the initials, some of the paragraph marks are purple)., and Binding: 17th-18th centuries.
