Includes later typed description:"A Grind on an Unpopular Tutor written about 1829 by a Mexican, named Pena, who was afterward expelled. The verses were recited by the author in the college chapel on a Wednesday afternoon. Copies were soon printed and a number were concealed in the front middle room, fourth story, north entry of South Middle, between the ceiling and the wood closet door. They were not discovered until after the fire of December 1890." Another note indicates that the tutor was said to be George Jones, BA 1823. Printer of the verse is unknown. South Middle was renamed Connecticut Hall in 1905.
