Annotation (signature?) in lower right in pencil: Gillray delin., Date based on publication date of the print entitled "Scientific researches! New discoveries in pneumaticks! ...", which includes a similar but reversed depiction of D'Israeli in profile. Cf. No. 9923 in the Catalogue of prints and drawings in the British Museum.
