Under the wheels are large earthenware vessels which stood outside the shop. A furious couple come out of the shop-door, above which is a board: 'Bob. Brittle china Glass and Earthenware Shop. A savage dog leaps barking at the terrified horse, the fat woman in the gig screams, the man shouts at the horse. A detached house has a sign: 'Probe Surgeon'. Next it is a church.
