Title etched below image., Place of publication and date from item., Below title: In Holland's Exhibition Rooms may be seen the largest collection of caricatures in Europe, Admittance one Shilling., From the British Museum catalogue: Richard Perry, a surgeon and apothecary of Bristol, eloped (to Gretna Green) with Clementina Clarke, an heiress of fifteen. On 4 April the Bow Street magistrates advertised £1,000 reward for securing Miss Clarke and returning her to Bow Street or to Miss Selina Mills, the governess at Bristol, Perry (who was passing as Captain Inglefield) and his confederates (his apprentice Salmon and Elizabeth Baker) to be apprehended for felony. Abstract:
A lady sits at her dressing table, her elaborate mountain of hair being combed by her equally coiffed hair-dresser who stands behind her. The lady turns to see her husband who has just entered the room in riding dress, his whip upraised. Behind him in the doorway, the housemaid, winking at the viewer, raises two fingers above his head. Two portraits hang on the wall in the background

A very corpulent couple facing left, promenade arm in arm. The gentleman, behind the woman, wears a military coat, ruffled shirt and a tricorne hat with a bow on the front. He carries a walking stick, and the pommel of his sword is just visible behind the voluminous dress of his wife, whose face is nearly hidden in an enormous calash hat of the period

A young woman, evidently tired from raking hay, lies sleeping against a haystack, her hat and rake by her side, near a country cottage with a signboard advertising "Lodgings for travellers." A young man, booted and spurred, has come upon the scene and leans on his horse admiring her, as her dog snarls protectively at the newcomer

Hudibras has arrested the fiddler with a wooden leg and is leading him to prison (seen on the right) while Ralpho attaches his violin to the stocks; a ragged child with a hoop, a well-dressed woman, and two young man look on (left).

Title engraved above image., From a series of twelve prints after Hogarth and issued by Robert Sayer. Publisher name from first print in series., Date of publication based on publisher's name and address in imprint statement on the first plate in this series. Robert Sayer moved to 53 Fleet Street in 1760, and from 1777 onward he formed partnerships that caused him to trade under different names (Sayer & Bennett, Sayer & Co., etc.); see British Museum online catalogue. He acquired the Hogarth plates from Overton and re-issued them and copies in 1768. Abstract:
An album compiled by Sir Henry Edward Bunbury containing character studies and humorous depictions of coaching, hunting, military, domestic scenes, dogs, and people (mostly caricatures) from a variety of social stations, drawn by him or his father in a variety of mediuma directly on the blue album paper or drawn on laid paper that has been mounted on the album paper. Many of the drawings include titles and dates. Also included is a sheet of eleven men shown in profile drawn by an amateur artist "Miss Jones" and entitled "The worthy magistrates and other inhabitants of [illegible] Ashford ... taken by representative of R.B. Esq. at [illegible] ... 1806 by Miss Jones."
