Behind him on the floor of the stage is a chest filled with more bags of money. A woman in a Welsh hat, the Princess of Wales, looks out from the curtains of a bed in the back of the stage and listens with pleasure. A tall quack (T. Smollet) wears a fool's cap, a hornbook hangs from his girdle, and the newspapers The Briton rolled under his arm; at his feet are other copies of The North Briton and The Monitor
