"A companion print to British Museum Satires No. 6912; a similar group of men in a similar room stand or sit at a rectangular table singing from a large music-book held open on the table. Punch-bowl, wine-bottle, glasses, pipes, a tumbler are on the table which is covered by a heavy cloth. Their expressions are more serious than those of the catch-singers. Two men in the background are smoking, one of whom is lighting his pipe. A dog sits in the foreground looking up at the singers.
