- This collection consists principally of photographic prints of Barney at various ages: as a teenager; as a young woman in Victorian attire and in riding gear; with Gabriele d'Annunzio; with Romaine Brooks; with unidentified friends; and by herself at age 48. Also included are: a photographic postcard addressed to "Chère Rachilde"; an inscribed calling card; and a copy of a book of poems by Louis Emié ("Hauts Desirs Sans Absence" Paris: Pierre Seghers, 1953), inscribed to Barney, with a letter from Barney to Emié.

- Carte-de-visite photographs of Sioux and Chippewa Indians in Minnesota, Fort Snelling, Fort Garry; of Red River train carts in St. Paul; and of people escaping from the Red River uprising. There are many portraits of Sioux Indians, some of them identified as having been executed for their part in the Red River massacre. There are also images of Sioux Indians in camps, of Chippewa chiefs, as well as of an Indian school run by "Miss Allen," and of Sioux Indian boys at the Bishop Seabury Mission School in Faribault, Minnesota. Photographers include Joel E. Whitney, Benjamin F. Upton, Hoard & Tenney, and S. J. Morrow. One tintype depicts a man with a moustache posed sitting on the left side of the image and a woman posed standing on the right of the image. The other tintype depicts a man posed sitting in the center of the image and flanked by a man and woman posed standing on either side and behind him; they also all wear hats.
