Drawing of two men standing and conversing, the man on the left leaning in close and resting his left hand on the shoulder of the man on the right, his right hand raised with index finger pointing. The man on the right stands with his hands clasped in front, his head turned toward the other man. Both men wear loose fitting coats and breeches. Probably a depiction of actors performing the opéra bouffon Les deux avares ("The two misers").

Walpole believed the miniature to have been painted by Samuel Cooper, but it has since been reattributed to Nicholas Dixon; see Christie's sale catalogue "Fine miniatures, enamels and object of art and vertu", 6 July 1965, lot 36., and A print entitled "Lucy Barlow alias Waters", published by Harding's father Sylvester in 1802 for The biographical mirrour, was probably engraved from this drawing; see Lewis Walpole Library call no.: SH Contents H263 no. 16.
