"administration bldg + auditorium holding 1300" "Picture No. 10 is Bashford Administration Hall (N). This building has administrative offices on the first floor and an auditorium to seat 1300 students on the second floor. In the formation of this roof two types of Chinese roof have been combined, one type seen in the center, and the other type at the end. In this way it beautifully represents a fine bit of creative architecture for China." Design drawing depicting the building., and Peking University was called Yenching University after 1912 when the Chinese government university was named Peking University. Later known as Yanjing da xue.
