"Heading to a printed broadside. Three Ministers in court suits with bag-wigs and swords sing outside Carlton House. Castlereagh in the centre holds a scourge, turning towards Liverpool (left); the latter and Sidmouth have misshapen gouty legs. Sidmouth's clyster-pipe hangs from his pocket. Above the gate (left) George IV and a fat woman (? Lady Conyngham) are seen watching from a window. She says: "Your M--y how well they Chord, it is like one Person." John Bull, a yokel in a smock holding money-bag and cudgel, stands with his back to the gate, watching the singers. He says: "They may Chord to please his M .... y but dang me If I dont wish the Three was in One Cord." Alderman Curtis (right), with enormous paunch and nose, approaches from the right, in the sailor's dress of Walcheren Expedition prints, see British Museum Satires No. 11353. He holds a long spoon labelled 'Orphans Fund' [see British Museum Satires No. 13706] and a large pot; under the left arm is a turtle. He says: "Who's for a Royal Tuck-out with our Fat Friend [cf. Abstract:
Heading to a printed broadside in support of Queen Caroline, with a depiction of the Queen in the upper left, riding in a chariot pulled by a lion under a banner reading "Innocence and Triumph." The Italian witnesses against her are being led in chains to the gallows, the man at the back of the line remaking "This is past a joke O! Majocc"; a hangman smoking a pipe awaits them at the top of a ladder, noose in hand. Three figures with bags over their heads are already hanging, with a fourth hanged figure being fed by a devil with a pitchfork into the flaming mouth of a demon on the right, a "Green Bag" falling into the flames next to him. Another victim is skewered by a second devil standing inside the demon's mouth; the words "Milan Commission Receiving Office" are written amid the flames. A John Bull figure with a walking stick watches the scene from the right, remarking: "Well now if this h'ant a sight that pleases John Bull - Go & be hang'd to ye you Italian scoundels - come to swear an innocent womans life away." In the center foreground, a dog tears at a second "Green Bag" with its mouth

"George IV stands on the doorstep of a London house, his hat under his arm. Lord Conyngham, standing beside him, and bowing low, motions him towards the open door. The King asks: Is your Wife at Home, holding up his right hand so that the fingers simulate horns above the Marquis's head. The latter, who wears a court suit, answers: At your Service! Lady Conyngham peeps from a ground-floor window, saying, He's coming 'pon my Honour. John Bull (right), a sturdy fellow in ill-fitting brown wig and gaiters, and with a heavy cudgel for walking-stick, walks towards them along the pavement. He registers astonishment, saying, Dash my Wig! A footman looks up from the area (left), saying, Cuckoo and holding up two fingers derisively. "In the foreground John Bull, a drink-blotched 'cit', and George IV tug at a large pair of antlers. The King (right): "I tell you Bull I will wear them--I know they will become me--what am I allways to be disappointed." John wears a large white favour in his hat inscribed 'The Queen'; he says: "I'll be D--n'd if you do wear them yet, however much you may deserve them so it is useless contending G--e." At his feet is a large bludgeon: 'John Bull's Oke'. Behind them, a woman, apparently Mrs. Bull, strikes Majocchi, so that his nose gushes blood, saying: "You're one of the Villians from Cotton Garden" [see British Museum Satires No. 13824, &c.]. He falls backwards, saying: "Non mi Ricordo" [see British Museum Satires No. 13827]. In the middle distance behind John (left), stands a woman arm-in-arm with a sailor, who is next a soldier; she waves her handkerchief, saying; "The Queen for ever"; the other two wave their hats, shouting: "Go it John we'll stand by You." Abstract:
"A scene in the Lords. A large Green Bag stands wide open on the floor before the Woolsack; John Bull, a fat 'cit', takes from it a bottle inscribed 'Imputation' [cf. British Museum Satires No. 13796]; the cork, in the form of a crown, flies up, and smoke rises. Eldon, seated on the Woolsack, one foot regally on a sack inscribed 'Mother Coal', scowls at the bottle; his mouth, like those of the other peers, is closed by a padlock, but he holds up a paper inscribed: 'My Lords-- Right or Wrong we will proceed'. J.B. faces him with arm flung back, exclaiming: "Stop--hear me first--step one Inch if you dare without my consent-- I protest against your Secret Tribunal I'll protect the Queen look at this Bottle--and look at that Reptile." He refers to a serpent wearing a royal crown and representing the King; this issues from a rent in the bag which is inscribed 'The Green Bag Opened'. Peers are grouped near Eldon, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Wellington, and Liverpool being the most prominent. "A grossly obese John Bull and his lean and ugly wife, both wearing hats, sit on upright chairs, gormandizing. The man holds a whole chicken to his mouth, taking a huge bite. The woman (left) faces him, biting a large melon which she holds with both hands to an enormous mouth. He is morosely savage, she is melancholy; both are gap-toothed. On the ground (right) by the man's chair are collected a ham or gigot, a large irregular (?) galantine, a raised pie: 'pâté de périgueux', a huge jar of 'vin de lafitte' round which four bottles are grouped: 'frontignac', 'Clos de Vouge[ot]', and '. . . seac'. Beside the woman are a basket and tray filled with grapes, peaches, and pears. Through a wide doorway (left) the street is seen with a seated fruit-seller who serves three grotesquely hideous Englishwomen. Two are lank and emaciated, one tries to stuff a big peach into an immense mouth, holding an armful of grapes and peaches; the other gnaws at a bunch of grapes held in both hands. The third, also with bulging cheeks, bites a peach. The fruit-seller's tray is empty; she holds out her last peach. "A large green bag with broken seals, inscribed 'Private Property', stands on the ground filled with large ornate pieces of plate, decorated with crowns and the initials 'C.P.W.' This Ministers are rifling; Eldon places on his head a huge bowl, saying: "This Bowl will be an "heir loom" to my descendants--I have it Scot free and I shall have it inscribed with my Titles and emblazon'd with my Arms--" Canning holds on his head a tea-service, saying, "So help me G-- I should not touch an Iota of the Plate, was I not determined to prevent it falling into the hands of Such Rascals." Castlereagh, smiling, helps himself to an urn, saying: "This Urn will be an addition to my Side Board when I get a Dukedome--Our Master has desired us to divide the Contents of this Green bag--I obey orders--." In the doorway (left) stands John Bull in a smock; he waves his hat to a throng of country people who are running towards him, saying: "Theives! Theives!! Let us protect private property!!!" The country people shout "Stop Theif!!"; "Assist the Q--n"; "Robbers!!"; "Plunderers!!" On the right Sidmouth and a man in court-dress hurry off each with a (green) sack of 'Plunder' on his back; Sidmouth, carrying a tea-urn, says: "Let us make our Escape my L--d its all over with us let us take care of what we have got." The other, carrying a kettle on his head, says: "This is a pretty kettle of Fish that fellow has given the Alarm and we shall be pursued." They walk towards a flaming fire in the foreground, in which is the Devil pointing his trident at the plunderers, and shouting, "Gentlemen I am come for ye."
