Waiting the arrival of the mission steamer." This color postcard shows two dugout canoes beached in the foreground, both flying pennants that include the Union Jack. Behind them, other canoes can be seen paddling towards a large crowd on shore.
Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive., Lorenzo and Ruth Bennett Morgan were American medical missionaries in the Jiangsu and Anhui provinces of China, serving under the Presbyterian and Methodist mission boards from 1905 to 1946., and Two Chinese river boats, one with a tattered sail, are sailing down a river in China. There is a handwritten note by the Morgans' son Carrel in the lower left corner.
"Les Capucins francais aux Indes (5e Série). La Mission du Sacré Coeur au Rajputana [Rajasthan]. 7. - Deux petites victimes de la famine." Two young boys who are victims of a famine stand together. One of them is holding the other's wrist. The effects of the famine are clearly apparant. Additional information on the back directs monetary offerings to Paris, France. There is a handwritten note on the back of this postcard.

Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive., Margaret Hart Barbour, the photographer, was an American Episcopal missionary in Shanghai at St. John's University from 1916 to 1923., and Two makee-learn boys of Mr. Bei's in his summer house, which was headquarters for United Famine Relief, Tingchow, 1921
"Mission du Maduré [Madura]. 6. - Le dieu Karouppon dans la pagode de Madura." Two boys stand in front of a large statue of the god Karouppon in the pagoda of Madura. The God is sitting on a decorated horse, lifting its front legs, with statues of smaller people connected to the bottom of the large horse. Additional information on the back indicates that postcard was printed in Paris.
Printed on the photograph are the words, "3079 - A Hindu Sacrifice." The accompanying caption reads, "Preparing to sacrifice a young buffalo before a Hindu temple. After the animal's head is cut off, some blood is sprinkled before the idol." Two boys stand by a young buffalo in front of a Hindu temple. The buffalo is tied up and one boy holds it from behind, while the other boy prepares to cut of its head with a knife. There are people watching them in the background. This photograph is from an album prepared by W. K. Norton of The Pilgrims Mission, Benares [Vārānasi].

"Aux Glaces Polaires. 1. - Petits Esquimaux. Au nord du Canada, dans la region polaire, vaste comme les deux tiers de l'Europe, vivent 42,000 Indiens et Esquimaux. La aussi, il y a des msisionnaires. 2. Un igloo. 3 - A la chasse. 4 - La cuisine du missionnaire. 3 - Lecon d'alphabet." Two Eskimo boys are shown standing on a snowy plain. One holds a rifle, while the other holds a pair of snowshoes. On the back of the card is printed an appeal for funds directed to "Propagation de la Foi, 12, rue Sala, Lyon.". and Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive.
"Catéchistes Missionnaires de Marie-Immaculée. - La misére indienne. 7. Léproserie du Sacré-Coeur. - Deux grands malades." Two boys, afflicted with leprosy and malnourished, stare at the camera. They are dressed in rags. The postcard also notes the publisher as, "Regnault, photo - Orléans."
