長 x 寬 34公分 x 22 公分. 外為龍紋花欄, 橫題其額曰"大明通行寶鈔", 其內上兩旁為篆文八字, 鎸"大明寶鈔 天下通行", 中圖錢貫, 十串為壹貫, 其下鎸 "戶部奏准印造 大明寶鈔與銅錢通行使用 偽造者斬 告捕者賞銀貳伯伍拾兩 仍給犯人財產", "洪武 年 月 日", 識以兩朱印, 印文不可辨. 背面上部有紅印一方, 印文不可辨. 下部有一長方形黑色印記, 外為多方連續的如意雲紋花欄 花欄內橫書 "壹貫"二字, 其下是十串銅錢 佈局與正面上部分相同.
