Frederick William Fairholt (1814-1866), English artist and antiquary, signed his prints "F.W.F"., Title from item., Signed by the artist in lower right corner: "F.W.F"., and Date of drawing based on artist's visit to Italy with Lord Londesborough in 1856.
Holograph diary, apparently incomplete, of part of a tour through Italy. The diary opens with a description of a tour of Herculaneum and of antiquities and sight-seeing in Naples, followed by a journey to Rome. Tebbs describes a visit to the Vatican Library and the manuscripts and incunabula shown to him by the librarians, including fragments of early Greek Gospel texts and a large "Hebrew Bible presented by the Duke of Urbino." Tebbs and his unnamed companions then journey to Florence, where they see the major sites by engaging a guide to "drive about the whole day," and then proceed to Bologna for two days, visiting the University and its library. The diary ends with their arrival in Piacenza

Copy of a design for the letterhead use for 1726 an invitation to a dinner for former pupils of William Rayner at Blundell's School, Tiverton. The vignette shows, on the left, small boys reading and, on the right, in front of a bookcase, Minerva pointing a boy towards the school while another boy assists Mercury as he waters a tree growing a pot. The frame around the vignette is topped by a fountain referring to the motto: In patriam populumque fluxit. In a ribbon below the image is another motto: Utrique unus et ex uno stemmate surgis honos. The soldiers, forming an L-shaped cordon and led by four battalion officers, are recognizable by their tricorns and the bayonets. At the center of the square, under the grand building of Palazzo Vecchio, stands a troop of drummers. Figures in the the foreground include a group of cavalrymen bearing a banner and followed by a cart on the right; a lady and gentleman waiting for a landau carriage at center; and a figure, maybe a soldier on look-out, watching the scene in Palazzo Uguccioni's shadow on the left
