A collection of holograph letters from Beauford Delaney addressed (collectively) to his friend, Don Freeman, Freeman's wife, Lydia, and their son, Roy. The letters span the years 1950-1968, although two empty envelopes, franked with the dates 1969 and 1970 are included. The letters cover events in Delaney's life, spent during most of this period in Paris, and news of mutual friends. Also included are an ink sketch by Delaney, dated 1967, and two letters from Richard A. Long to Don Freeman, dated 1976, concerning Delaney
