Keller taught for forty years at the Yale School of Fine Arts, and during World War II was an officer with the Allied Forces's Monuments, Fine Arts and Archives Section., Norman Holmes Pearson (1909-1975, Yale 1932, 1941 PhD), professor of English and American Studies at Yale University and officer in the United States Office of Strategic Services during World War II.
