The Sultan (Abdul Hamid) smokes a long pipe. Behind him stand two fierce-looking guards. In the background three other ladies listen rapturously to the slim, erect, and well-dressed dwarf, who is in marked contrast with the massive Turk and the voluptuous ladies of the seraglio.
