Abstract:: "A counterblast to British Museum Satires No. 14110, and an imitation of its manner, in the guise of a companion plate. As in that plate, a zebra with a man's head stands in an oval bandbox, but in profile to the right. The head is (presumably) Lord Conyngham; the creature is grey, scraggy rather than plump as before, and with much longer (ass's) ears. On it sits Lord Francis Conyngham; in place of the Queen's bandbox is a larger box, torn to show that it contains fur, and inscribed 'Lady Eliza[beth's] Muff Box'; this covers the rider from chest to thigh. In his right hand is a rolled document: 'Bishop [of Londo]n's golden rule Kings can do no wrong' [see British Museum Satires No. 14133]. The zebra's neck is encircled by necklaces of jewels; in place of the sieve in British Museum Satires No. 14110, a hand (the King's) from the right margin holds out a plate of jewels close to its voracious mouth. The lid of the bandbox in which it stands is inscribed 'Hertford [lightly scored through] Cunningham' [see British Museum Satires No. 13847]. The box, which is patterned with roses, is full of papers: 'Essays by exalted writers bought by the Pall Mall Booksell[er]'; 'Croker Poetical Slanders'; 'Malicious Anecdotes for John Bull', and a newspaper headed 'John Bull Sunday Mag . . .' Behind (right) is the Cottage with a group of stag, doe, and fawn, and (left) Windsor Castle."--British Museum online catalogue

Conyngham" written in pencil at bottom of sheet, the former an incorrect identification. Typed extract of eighteen lines from the British Museum catalogue description is pasted beneath print.

Abstract:: An old woman dressed in her nightcap and gown, her one breast hanging exposed from her gown, climbs into bed in which her husband already lies. She expels gas from her bottom in the direction of the candle on the ground in front of the fireplace with such force that it lifts the cat off the ground and bends the candle. Above the fireplace is a broadside entitled: The storm by Mr. Dodd, cease rude boreas balstering railes ... On the table below the window (left) is a bowl labeled "Pease porridge" and a wig on a stand. On the ground at her feet lies a corset, shoes and other garments. Above the bed are boxed and breeches; a man's coat is hung on the back of the chair to the right of the hearth

Abstract:: "A farmyard scene, with a corner of the house on the left. A grossly fat and carbuncled parson on a quest for tithes encounters the farmer's wife, who runs towards him proffering an open bandbox, with a dangling lid inscribed 10th. A miniature hussar, very dandified in shako and pelisse, stands in it, superciliously inspecting the parson through an eye-glass. The woman, who is plump and well-dressed, wearing apron and bonnet, says: Seeing your Reverence comeing for your Tithes, I have brought you a Tenth. The parson, who holds a large book, Tithe list, and has a chicken in his capacious pocket, answers with a scowl and gesture of refusal: Take it back! take it back! good Woman; I never tithe Monkeys. The little hussar says: Eh! eh! what does that there fellow say? An amused yokel with a pitchfork leans over a gate (left). A cock crows on a dunghill, an ass brays. Abstract:: "Rectangular bundles of documents, supported on human legs, march towards a writing-table (left) where two men await them eagerly, one being evidently Lord Stewart. These bundles recede in perspective from right to left. The two largest are inscribed: 'From Switzerland Via Colombier the Capital of Europe' and 'From Milan by the Brown road'. The others are: 'From Trieste'; 'From Carlsruhe'; 'Como'; 'Italy'; 'Devil'; 'Moloch'; 'Lucifer'. A bird flies towards the table with a paper inscribed 'Private'. Forked lightning darts towards the table, beside which trunks, boxes, and papers are piled, with a paper headed '... [Maj]ochys deposition'. The barber (left) is shaving a customer who sits in profile to the left facing the window, he holds his razor carelessly, to his customer's alarm, while looking eagerly towards another customer, who sits (right) on a stool in profile to the left, reading from the 'Morning Chronicle'. The barber's assistant or apprentice, a small ragged fellow, gapes up at the reader, he straddles across the stand of a barber's block on which is the wig which he is combing. Two other customers listen intently, both wear aprons, one of them is a shoemaker with a last under his arm. The man reading is shown to be a tailor by the yard-measure which hangs from his coat-pocket. On the wall hang coat, hat, wig, a broken looking-glass, a ballad, a roller-towel.
