One (left) in profile to the right, very obese, is an old military officer with a wooden leg; next is a lean man in back view, next a stout man sits full face, and on the right is a thin man in profile to the left seated beside a rectangular table on which is a glass and a large jug. All have expressions of solemn vacuity. They emit clouds of smoke from mouth or pipe which fill the upper part of the bare room. "Heading to a printed broadside, a parody of Hamlet's soliloquy spoken by George IV, beginning 'To be or not to be? and ending 'I'd rather drink and revel here in secret, | Than fly | Where I might meet her face to face'. The King, much burlesqued, stands with legs astride on the boards of a theatre, framed by curtains patterned with grapes, bottles, glasses, crowns, and antlers. On the back-cloth are crude Chinese figures. He has a huge head, with heavy drink-blotched face crowned by the towering curls of his wig, and holds a full goblet and a bottle of Curaco. With an expression of calculating melancholy he meditates suicide, on account of 'The scorns and satire of an injur'd Nation', but fears to meet his wife's ghost."--British Museum online catalogue

The Coalition ministers are gathered around the table placed in the mouth of a cave. On the left sits Lord North wearing armor under his cloak, a goblet in his left hand. Opposite him on the right is Charles Fox, dressed as a centurion and sitting on a fox. He leans on the table keeping his right hand on three dice signed, "Madras," "Bombay," and "Bengal," and clutching a dice box in his left. Behind him Admiral Keppel, the date of the battle of Ushant (1778) on his helmet, raises his goblet in a toast. Behind him Sheridan, with ass's ears and "School for Scandal" written across his head cover, watches the Duke of Portland count out money to Lord Carlisle. On Portland's shoulder leans Lord Cavendish in a centurion's armor under his cloak. Between him and North sits Burke in a Jesuit's outfit reading his own "Plan of oeconomy [sic]." Under the table lie the corpses of Lords Shelburne and Ashburton, ousted by the Coalition
