The top seal shows Henry VIII on a throne holding the globus cruciger in his left hand and a dagger in his right hand; he is flanked by two armorial shields surmounted by crowns, and Latin text runs along the circular border of the seal. The bottom a seal of the Archbishop of York with Saint Peter holding a key and Saint Paul with a sword under the arches of a building and with Cardinal Thomas Wosley's coat of arms (in reverse) below identified by text in Latin encircling the border
