"A dancing-master in profile to the left, playing his kit, faces a little girl, who stands firmly, her feet in the first position, heels back to back, toes pointing almost at r. angles with her profile. His feet are also in the first position, as are those of a little boy in the doorway (right), one hand on the handle, bowing, or stooping, low.
