- Title from note in pencil below image; the motto "Cog it amor nummi" is written within a banner at bottom of image., Unsigned; artist unidentified., Copy of a drawing by Richard Edgcumbe, designed along with George Selwyn, George Williams, and Horace Walpole, that was produced in 1756 at Strawberry Hill. The original drawing was sold in lot 12 of the 22nd day of the Strawberry Hill Sale in 1842., Date of production based on death date of T. Crofton Croker, who assembled the extra-illustrated volume in which this drawing is found., For an engraving after the original drawing, see no. 3350 in the Catalogue of prints and drawings in the British Museum.
