"A man rides (right to left) a violently shying horse, passing on the near side a two-wheeled farmer's cart, driving left to right, in which are seated a man and woman, the backs of their heads being visible. The front part of the cart is cut off by the right edge of the design. The horseman wears a naval uniform, his hat flies off, he tugs at his rein with both hands. He is attempting to pass between the cart and a steep bank. At the back of the cart a goose puts its head through a basket to hiss at the horse. A dog barks at the bird."--British Museum catalogue

George IV has just come ashore, with a boat seen on the coast behind him and the royal yacht out in the water beyond; he carries a scepter in his right hand a large green bag on his back, the ties of which resemble antlers or horns above his head. A group of men with donkey ears greet him on the left; one man holds a flag showing two cows, and another a long document with the heading "Cows." Behind the King, on the right edge of the design, three men in uniform look on.

As the result of the Convention of Cintra, French general Junot is shown vomiting, with great effort, a large booty of gold coins, candlesticks, church plate, watches, and other valuables while a Portuguese kneeling in front of him attempts to catch as many items as possible into an already-disgorged silver basin. To Junot's right stands John Bull in sailor's clothes and ill-fitting wig. He is holding the general's head in order to help him rid himself of his plunder.
