"A comely young woman, the centre figure, stands bare-legged in a wash-tub, holding her petticoats high, and smiling coyly. Behind (left), another woman with kilted petticoats steps into a tub, looking over her shoulder. In the foreground (right) a man in Highland dress sits on the ground, taking snuff.
