In Spanish., Script: Written well above the lines in a bold and round Southern Gothica Textualis Formata with typical Spanish features. The scribe added decorative designs in upper and lower margins., The illumination consists of 7- to 10-line initials on a square background (ff. 2v , 10v, 25r, 27r, 28v) and the following pictures: f. 1v, full-page miniature showing a couple and their five children in adoration for the Virgin in the Sun, in a decorative frame; f. 2r, full-page miniature, showing a victorious king (Philip II) on horseback, with his army in the background, trampling upon a defeated enemy; below is an oval shield containing three rocks and three trees, the whole in a decorative frame; f. 6r (Alonso Perez, witness), 10-line historiated initial with St. Alphonsus; f. 8r (Alonso Martin Garrido, witness), 9-line historiated initial with St. Alphonsus; f. 17r (Hernando Verdugo, witness), 9-line historiated initial with the Holy Spirit as a dove; f. 20v (Francisco de Robles), 9-line historiated initial with St. Francis receiving the stigmata., and Binding: Red velvet over cardboard. The pastedowns are two large engravings, one picturing the Beatitudes, the other the Creed.

In Spanish., Script: Part I (ff. 3-13): Round gothic script by a single scribe. Part II (ff. 19-74): Written in various cursive hands., Folios 1v and 2r have crudely illuminated full-page miniatures, 17th century. Folio 1v: members of the Rodriguez family offering prayers to the Madonna and Child. Folio 2r: arms of the Tinagero Rodriguez de la Escalera family. Crude decorative border on f. 3v and REY (in gold, outlined in black) may be later additions., Many of the documents included appear to have once been folded. Some loss of text due to trimming., and Binding: Eighteenth century (?). Thin wooden boards covered with dark brown leather, flesh side out. Vermilion and green ribbon fastenings.

In Latin., Script: probably copied by a single hand writing Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens with Spanish features. Paragraph marks and headings in pale red ink. Red initials with reserved interior shapes, of various heights., Copy of the charter of Lothaire, King of the Franks (954-986), for the abbey of Sant Cugat, dated Compiègne, 986 January-February. The copy was made by Bernard of Caderita, notary at Barcelona, 1044 January 17. The manuscript contains confirmations of this charter by James I, King of Aragon (1213-1276), dated 1233 January 23, and Pedro IV, King of Aragon (1336-1387), dated 1338 April 20. The manuscript also contains documents about a lawsuit before the court of the bishop of Barcelona between the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallés and the town of Sant Cugat at the occasion of a fight between two inhabitants of the town and the wounds they received, 1273-1380. The Latin language of these documents is very ungrammatical., and Binding: no covers.

The additional texts are copied in 16th century hands: artt. 1 and 6 in Gothica Hybrida Libraria by hand B, who wrote also the majority of the marginal notes and additions; art. 7 by hand C, who used a bold Humanistica Cursiva., The manuscript contains: 1) Benedictus XII Papa (1334-1342), Constitutio pro reformatione Ordinis Cisterciensis (1335), c. 1, first part. 2) Benedictus XII papa, Constitutio pro reformatione Ordinis Cisterciensis (1335), cc. 1 (second part) - 42. 3) Statutes of the General Chapter of Cîteaux of 1335. 4) Benedictus XII Papa, Bulla "Regularem vitam professis", 4 July 1335. 5) Benedictus XII Papa, Bulla "Pastor bonus diligens", 17 June 1335. 6) Statute of the General Chapter of 1422, c. 24. 7) Part of the statute of the General Chapter of 1422, c. 23. 8) Carta caritatis, a later version of the original constitution of the Cistercian Order. 9) Statutes of the General Chapter of 1317, incomplete at the end: cc. 1-13., The additional texts are not decorated. The original parts have red headings, red paragraph marks, and red 2- or 3-line plain initials. Art. 2 opens f. 2r with a 7-line littera duplex with extensive penwork and extension in the inner margin in red and blue; art. 8 opens f. 42v with a 3-line flourished initial (Prologue) and a 4-line littera duplex with penwork, as in art. 2 (text). All initials are half inset and have guide letters in the margin., and Binding: blind-tooled white parchment over wooden boards, decorated with fillets in a frame and lozenges pattern. In Latin., Script: copied by one hand in highly abbreviated Gothica Cursiva Libraria., The entire manuscript is damaged by moisture and the text has become extremely pale or is entirely lost on sections of almost all pages. Brittle lower edges., and Binding: S. XVII (?) binding: brown blind-tooled leather over bevelled wooden boards. Both covers decorated with frames of fillets and rolls, the central panel with a strapwork pattern. Two clasps attached to the front board, with rectangular decorated brass catches on the rear board.
Manuscript on parchment (poor quality: holes, end pieces). The text is also accompanied by extracts from the gloss of Bernardus Parmensis on the Decretals of Pope Gregory IX; these were probably added ca. 1245 or later

Decorative initials, 5- to 2-line, set out in margins, red with blue designs alternating blue with red. Rubrics, and running titles (book numbers) in red for arts. 1-2. Spiral line-fillers and 1-line initials in red or blue. Notes for rubricator., Some leaves stained and/or mutilated, with loss of text and gloss: ff. 1-3, 45, 84. Defects in leaves repaired with red and blue thread., and Binding: 19th-20th centuries. Spanish (?). Rigid vellum case; lettering on spine, in black: "Inocenti Decreta". On upper cover, painted inscription in red and blue, that attempts to reproduce heading on f. 1r: "Innocentij".

The place where the prayer is to be said is often given; from those mentioned, the church in question can be identified as the Cathedral of Cordoba. In Latin and Spanish., Script: Written by a single scribe in rotunda, very well executed, with additions at end of estaciones in rotunda and humanistic script, by later hands., Initials, ff. 20r-21v (2-line), in alternating red with purple penwork and blue with red penwork. 1-line capitals sometimes have yellow wash. Rubrics in orange-tinted red, paragraph marks in blue. Added memoriae for Don Diego de Mardones have elaborate penwork cadeaux at the beginning., Offset impression of red lines (from pastedowns or flyleaves now lost?) appear on ff. 1r (running vertically) and 21v (horizontally); no loss of text., and Binding: Sixteenth century. Resewn on three small, vegetable fiber supports laced into wooden boards. The spine is square and lined with vellum between the supports. Covered in tan sheepskin blind-tooled with a floral roll border and arabesques in the center. A paper label on the upper cover: "Noviembre." Rebacked.

In Spanish., Watermarks: unidentified hand., Script: Written by several scribes in late Spanish bookhands with cursive and humanistic features. Some headings in large gothic display script., and Binding: Sixteenth century, Spain. Sewn on three tawed skin, slit straps, now broken, laced into channels in wooden boards. One plain wound endband is sewn on a tawed skin core, the other endband was added later. Covered in brown calf blind-tooled with concentric frames, the central panel and alternate frames filled with rope interlace. The layout of the design is the same on both boards but different small tools are used in the central panels. Spine: four fillets outlining the supports and in the center of the panels a small rope tool in the center of the compartments so formed. Two fastenings, the catches on the lower board, the clasp straps later additions. The spine is mended at head and tail; some corners repaired.

Contemporary sketches of intertwining snakes on ff. i recto and ii verso., and Binding: Fifteenth century, Spain (?). Sewn on three tawed skin support, two pink, the central one green, laced into a thick parchment wrapper. Contemporary title written in ink on back cover: "Tractatus de potestate eclesiastica***". Rodent damage at tail.
