"A man seated and playing a viol da gamba, the upper end of which is decorated by a carved head with a smiling face, wearing a laurel wreath, which is probably a portrait of the musician. He wears a small wig, a coat with large old-fashioned cuffs, and ruffled shirt-sleeves.
