Description:
Charles H. Greenfield, Private, Co. F, 9th N.Y.H.A., was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 12th,1865, suffering from gun shot wound of left arm, extent of injury unknown, also of gun shot wound of back, the ball entering at inferior angle of scapula, making its exit near spine, injuring soft parts. Wounded, April 2nd, 1865, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Amputation of left arm, upper third, antero-posterior flaps, on the field. Date of operation and name of operator unknown. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. Doing well., Charles H. Greenfield., Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number, 20,647, R. B.
