"Satire on French pressure on the Dutch to remain neutral in the war of Jenkins Ear. A curtain is drawn back, to right, to reveal a bare room in which Cardinal Fleury sits in a high backed chair rocking a cradle in which sleeps the lion of the United Provinces.
