The frontispiece is a pen-and-ink copy of the original woodcut, showing the author in his study, seated at his desk, with a clock and an armillary sphere, under a starry sky with sun and moon., Numerous pages are damaged by the acid ink., and Binding: Paper (or thin parchment) over pasteboard; on the spine gold-tooled bordeaux leather label with the title "MORLINI. / NOVEL.".
