Drawing of the motor area of the brain published in W. W. Keen's Surgery in 1908. The individual depicted has been thought to represent William Osler, but Michael Bliss suggests it might be Edward Cushing, Harvey's brother. and Inscription: Cushing del. 1906.

A coat of arms divided into two portions by a large diagonal band with three geese featured upon it. Two balls are in the upper, right-handed portion; one ball in the lower, left-handed portion. Below, a leafed branch and a bundle of grass are bound together and frame the crest from the bottom up. Above the crest is a bird with a kernel of grain in its beak. A motto above the bird reads Suo Marte.
