Two scrapbooks containing a collection of mostly 18th century engravings and etchings, some of which are purported to have belonged to Horace Walpole, organized thematically. With four original drawings, including a watercolor and wash drawing of the Neapolitan painter Luca Jordano signed by J.B. Catenaro, an unsigned portrait in red crayon of Cornelius Jansen, a pencil portrait of an unknown woman, and another small pencil drawing of a landscape. The first volume contains etchings and engravings of English villages and rural scenes including the farm house and printing house at Strawberry Hill and two vignettes of Strawberry Hill; topographical scenes in Surrey and Twickenham; etchings of Roman scenes; portraits of eminent historical and contemporary political figures and The second volume begins with a series of 192 small French engravings of women, which document the hair styles and hat fashions in the 17th and 18th centuries, all engraved by Dupin or Desrais. A second series of the 48 engravings from Wenceslaus Hollar's Theatrum mulierum depict the costumes of 17th century women (mostly) in Europe. These prints are followed by 29 small engravings by C. Heath of prominent British politicians and writers of the 18th century. The final pages include several portraits of contemporary British and French figures as well as the plates drawn and engraved by Henry Moses for A series of twenty-nine designs of modern costume published in London by E. and C. M'Lean in 1823

Two Native Americans attack a group of American loyalists. One of the loyalists lies dead on the ground, another, fallen on his back, is about to be slaughtered by the Indian saying "Shelbu-n for ever." The second Indian, with a feathered headdress, pulls a loyalist by the tails of his coat saying "No-th [North] to the devil." Lord Shelburne (William Petty) looks on, smiling, in spite of being attacked by Britannia who aims her spear at his heart and says, "Inhuman smiling Hypocrite thus to disgrace my unsullied fame." He responds, "be not angry Madam no peace no place." A butcher standing behind Shelburne and with inscription above his head, "Even Butchers weep," wipes tears from his face with a large handkerchief. One of the loyalists expresses the popular sentiment that the British government sacrificed them through peace terms: "Ungrateful Britons to Abandon thus your Loyal friends."

"British troops are about to march through a large fortified gate leading from open country (left) to the town of Buenos Ayres, where confused street-fighting is in progress. Can are fired from the battlements of the gate at the soldiers, some of whom lie dead or wounded. In the foreground an officer (mounted), in conversation with others, asks: "where is the General"; others say: "go look for the General"; "Find the General"; "why the General is lost". A Highland officer, taking snuff (right), slyly; "I dare say he is varra safe." From the country (left) three mounted men gallop, all saying, "I come for Orders". In the background Whitelocke's head and shoulders are seen peeping over a hillock on the extreme left. He says: "He that fights and runs away, May live to fight another day, But he thats in the Battle slain, Will never live to fight again". In the distance, behind him, are tiny (British) soldiers in close formation. In the city men are firing and hurling stones from the roofs of flat-roofed houses on British soldiers in the plaza.
