"Series XVI. - 3. The Great Mosque's street, Trichinopoly [Tiruchchirappalli]." A large Mosque stands at the end of this street. On one side of the street is a stone wall and tower, while the other side is lined with thatched-roof homes. Additional information on the back notes that postcard profits benefit Industrial Schools in India.
“Jama Masjid, F. Sikri, Agra: The largest Mosque in India built by E. Akbar in 1571 at a cost of 5 lacs of Rs. The interior walls of the mosque are painted in blue and gold.” The high entrance to the mosque is depicted along with porticos on the front of the building. Small elevated domes line the front of the roof. The printed caption and the following information stamped in blue ink are on the back of the postcard: “Catholic Mission, Pathiavarm, Odalavady. P. O.
