Below the ketubah text, the date and place of the marriage, and the signature of Elia Coen Ara, appear in Italian. At the top is a cartouche with a saying: may the bride and groom flourish like a cedar of Lebanon. There are obligations mentioned in the body of the text in which the bride promises to serve her husband in purity as is customary among daughters of Israel. This ketubah follows the unique tradition of Corfu ketubot in dual reckoning of time from the creation of the world and the destruction of the Temple.

Above the text are good wishes and the verse, ""I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God. For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels"" (Isaiah 61:10). Strips of red paper pasted on all four sides frame the ketubah. There is some damage to the text containing the Isaiah quote, as well as some damage to the borders.
