Printed in green ink, a nude woman, as she scatters roses about, is tugging on a large cloth that is wrapped around a male figure. Behind the male is the top half of a skull on a book. They are in a largely grassy area with small hills and a tree in the background. A phrase beneath the images reads Make the most of what we may yet spend.
Featured within a leafy frame is a scene of a mountain beneath a partly sunny sky and additionally framed by a pine tree. In the forefront below are several books, a microscope, and a skull. Above the entire image is the motto √úber allen Gipseln ist Ruh.
Print shows a group of five grotesquely caricatured men attending to a sixth man identified as Dr. Franz Joseph Gall, who is lecturing them on a skull which he holds up in his left hand.
