The members are represented by dogs, some having human faces; in the foreground four ministerial hounds (left) and four opposition leaders (right) tear violently at a paper inscribed 'Commercial Treaty'. On the right benches opposition hounds are in hungry cry after their leaders, on the left the ministerialists are gnawing bones with eyes fixed on the contest. The four Government dogs, who have human faces, are Pitt, a lean greyhound, his collar inscribed 'Fawning-Billy'; next him Dundas, his collar 'Treasurer Navy'; next Pepper Arden, his collar 'At. Gen', and last, Archibald Macdonald, his collar 'Sol. G.' Opposite these are North, wearing his ribbon, gnawing greedily, and Fox tearing ferociously (these two have quasi-human heads), Burke, a dog wearing spectacles, and Sheridan, his collar inscribed 'Sc. for Scan[dal]'. Three yelping puppies fawn on Fox, one of whom is probably intended for Grey. Behind the Speaker's chair stand members of the House of Lords, scandalized at the uproar. Abstract:
A large and animated procession approaches the Grocers' Hall on the left, led by musicians and Wilkes who tosses coins to the crowd. In the first of the three coaches, shown as a child's or an invalid's chair, sits Sir Watkin Lewes, alderman and M.P. for the City, in the central one rides Pitt, behind him Sir Barnard Turner, alderman and Sheriff. The windows of the buildings are filled with spectators. On the right, above the vitrine to "Neat Wines" shop, hangs a large portrait of Lord Chatham. A burlesque rendition of the procession that took place on February 28.

"Inscription in the upper right. corner: 'A Serio Comic Scene that befel the Grocers Wife at Norwich Or Mrs Figgs bottom exposed owing to the bottom of Mr Figgs Whiskey breaking through.' The two-wheeled gig has stopped at the door of an old-fashioned grocer's shop. A plump woman stands on the ground behind the shafts, naked between waist and stockings, the hole in the floor of the gig having scraped up her petticoats. A scene of violent action: one man holds the head of the restive horse. Men (l.) rush to look at the unfortunate woman who screams with upraised arms, as does her husband who stands with his back to his shop. A woman furiously clutches the hair of a too-eager spectator (r.); a barking dog leaps towards Mrs. Figg. Over the shop-door hangs a conical sign: 'Old Sugar loaf.' A board over the door is inscribed 'Grocery Sweetmeats Hams Tongues Starch Plumbs Figs Vermicelli Tripe Barley Pickles Mustard Soap Hogs Puddings &c Sold here by Peter Figg.' In a bow window are many jars, &c, two inscribed 'Mustard' and 'Virgin Honey'. Above it are two large pot-plants. An agitated woman screams from a casement window over the door. "An officer (left) on a charger, evidently General Davies, see BMSat 9442, directed to the right, takes the salute from three officers who march (right to left) past him. The first, sabre in hand, point downwards, holds his left hand across the front of his high cocked hat. A young officer follows, carrying a standard of the Union flag with the White Horse of Hanover and a crown. The third marches with almost closed eyes and sword held point upwards.
