A shield with an azure chief featuring three lions rampant. Below is an or field, void of any other charges. At the helm is a knight's helmet; at the crest, upon a torse, is a stag passant. Behind the shield is a mantle upon which two cherubs sit amongst books, reading. Beneath this, and surrounding the shield as well, are several attributes—including plants, flowers, measuring and surveying instruments, ornaments, and a fountain.

A scene set in Egypt, in which a statue of a woman stands upon a monument with a phrase written in Greek. This is flanked by a sphinx on either side. In the background, beneath a partly cloudy sky, is a pyramid and various other statues and structures.
A warrior, partially clothed, with a quiver across his back and an archer's bow in his right hand. He is in a seated position, amongst flowers with a large sunburst from behind his head. An enormous serpent is beneath his feet, impaled by an arrow.
A woman seated alongside a monument depicting a cloaked figure on the front. At the top is an urn. Alongside the monument are two book-like objects with "Hippocrates" and "Boerhaave" written on the sides. Further to the left is a shield featuring a lion in the field. It appears to be attached to one of the several trees that can be seen in the background. At the forefront is a potted plant and the upper half of a skull.

Printed in green ink, a nude woman, as she scatters roses about, is tugging on a large cloth that is wrapped around a male figure. Behind the male is the top half of a skull on a book. They are in a largely grassy area with small hills and a tree in the background. A phrase beneath the images reads Make the most of what we may yet spend.
A scene of a bearded, older man wearing only a loincloth carries a younger fully clothed man upon his back. They are climbing up a rocky incline. The younger man holds aloft a lit lamp in his right hand, while the older man carries a walking stick in his. A note indicates that Sir Arthur was an M.D., F.R.C.P.
"A scene on Clerkenwell Green, outside the 'Sessions House Crerenwell' [sic], whose door is on the extreme left. Two termagants face each other in the foreground; one spits at her enemy, arms akimbo, the other tries to use her fists but is held back by an elderly man who grasps her round the waist and kicks her, losing his tie-wig. The former woman is fashionably, the latter roughly, dressed. Both have coarse faces with a certain comeliness. In the background constables with staves are shepherding women through the door of the Sessions House, where the Middlesex magistrates sat. Other constables and women are suggested behind the 'Spit Fires'. On the right are old-fashioned gabled houses."--British Museum online catalogue
