One of a series of plates illustrating scenes from Shakespeare's plays, engraved after the drawings of Bunbury by various printmakers and published 1792-1796 by Thomas Macklin.
A small ink and wash drawing of a face with the ms. notation "noctes dramaticae" on a separate sheet (27 x 71 mm) pasted below plate mark. - Provenance
- Gift of Joseph Verner Reed (Yale 1926) to the Yale Library, 1958. Portions were transferred to Lewis Walpole Library 1960. For other items from this gift refer to Beinecke Library's GEN MSS 1000.
