Abstract: "A lady stands in profile to the right wearing an enormous false bosom covered with gauze, which is balanced by the projection of her petticoats at the back. The wide brim of her hat droops on to these excrescences. This inflated silhouette is supported on narrow low-cut slippers with high heels. Beneath the signature In the double-lined border, lower right corner, is engraved 'Fidei coticula Tactus'."--British Museum online catalogue
