Abstract: A very large woman with round cheeks is elaborately dressed in large hat heavily-decorated with feathers and ribbons, large jewelry (earrings, watch, and brooch), large puffy sleeves; her dress is too short for her, exposing her calves and boots; it is decorated around the bottom with bunches of grapes. She carries a parasol and braces herself against the breeze coming off the water. A steam ship sails behind her in the distance
