Early (proof?) state. For a later state with the text "From an original picture in the collection of the Rt. Hon. Lord Orford at Strawberry Hill" added at bottom of plate and shading added to the block lettering of title, see: British Museum online catalogue, registration no. 1853,0112.1575.
Sheet trimmed to plate mark.
A later state of this plate was published in: Hamilton, A. Memoirs of Count Grammont. London : Printed for S. and E. Harding, [1794].
Engraved after a painting by Henry Stone that was kept by Horace Walpole in the Gallery at Strawberry Hill.
