The journey to the Yukon used both steamer and rail travel, and there are views from aboard boat of the shorelines of St. Michaels, Forts Seward and Williams, and the Holy Cross Mission on the lower Yukon River, as well as scenes along the White Pass railroad, including the international boundary at White Pass.
