Abstract: Photographs of gold mining operations in the Yukon, including views of hydraulic mining, dredging, and the use of steam to thaw the ground. The journey to the Yukon used both steamer and rail travel, and there are views from aboard boat of the shorelines of St. Michaels, Forts Seward and Williams, and the Holy Cross Mission on the lower Yukon River, as well as scenes along the White Pass railroad, including the international boundary at White Pass. There are also several views of Dawson City
