Abstract: Full-length standing allegorical figure of a woman whose lower portion is in mummy wrappings, and top portion is draped in ancient Egyptian apparel. It is a reduced version of a sculpture designed for the America's Making pageant held in New York in October 1921. Incised at the back of the base: "MVW Fuller" and a copyright symbol
Description: Meta Vaux Warrick Fuller (1877-1968), African American sculptor, painter, and poet who lived and worked in Paris and Philadelphia at the turn of the twentieth century.
