Manuscript, on paper, containing Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Rifʻah's al-Maṭlab fī sharḥ al-Wasīṭ, commentary on al-Wasīṭ (manual of Shafiʻi law) of al-Ghazzālī

Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm. Wa-ṣallá Allāh ʻalá Muḥammad wa-ālih. Qāla Kitāb Ṣalāt al-ʻĪdayn. Wa-hiya sunnah muwattarah (?) ʻalá man yalzamuhu ḥuḍūr al-Jumʻah, wa-al-aṣl fīhi al-ijmāʻ wa-al-fiʻl al-mutawātir min Rasūl Allāh, ṣallá Allāh ʻalayhi wa-sallam, wa-qawluhu taʻālá Fa-ṣalli li-Rabbika wa-inḥar, qīla arāda bi-hi ṣalāt ʻīd al-naḥr, wa-dhahaba al-Iṣṭakhrī ilá annahā min furūḍ al-kifāyāt, wa-ṭarada dhālika fī jamīʻ al-shaʻāʼir ..."
The title al-Maṭlab lil-Qamūlī is given in the waqf-deed on leaf 1 recto (dated A.H. 797 [A.D. 1395]); Aḥmad al-Qamūlī presumably having completed Ibn al-Rifʻah's unfinished work.

C. Landberg compared this manuscript with Landberg MSS 283 (al-Qamūlī's al-Baḥr al-muḥīṭ, on the same subject) and found the text to be different.
Script: Fair naskhī.
Binding: In dark brown leather, Type III (without flap); cover embossed with central medallion; cover deteriorated, only the front cover having been preserved.
Colophon: "Ākhir al-juzw al-ʻāshir, yatlūhu fī awwal al-juzʼ baʻdahu, qāla, raḥimahu Allāh Kitāb al-Zakāh. Wa-al-ḥamdu lillāh awwalan wa-ākhiran, wa-ẓāhiran wa-bāṭinan, wa-ṣalawātuhu wa-salāmuhu al-akmalān al-atammān ʻalá Sayyidinā Muḥammad, khayr khalqihi, wa-ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi ajmaʻīn. Wa-ḥasbunā Allāh wa-niʻma al-wakīl."
