Lord Conyngham, well dressed in a top hat and holding a pair of gloves, walks in front of a fence and the open window of a building behind it; sheets of paper inscribed "List of the Contents in the House" are on the sidewalk at his feet. George IV -- with the body, beard, and horns of a goat -- prods him from behind with his horns. A larger lady and a black man are seen laughing in the window in the background; posted on the wall to the left of the window is an advertisement for a Theatre Royal performance of "the farce of Husbands and Wives in which will be introduced a concerto of Horn's."

Abstract:
"Ministers and others, holding hands, caper in a ring round a pole to which are symmetrically attached the decollated heads of the Cato Street conspirators executed on 1 May, see British Museum Satires No. 13707, &c. Between Sidmouth and the smiling Castlereagh is a man wearing a black mask, and with a blood-stained knife in his mouth, perhaps one of the two who turned King's evidence. On the right, taking Castlereagh's left hand, is the Attorney-General, Gifford, grinning diabolically. Holding Sidmouth's left hand is Vansittart (in his gown). Facing these two are Canning and Chief Justice Abbott in his robes. Four others are poorly characterized. They dance to a fiddle played by Edwards who sits on a grassy mound (right), with an empty gibbet behind his head. He says: "Dance away my Friends, I have been the cause of all this fun by your Help and Money. "Edwards the Instigator!!!"."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
"Lord Eldon sits at a high desk above a table, with mace, &c., at which two barristers are writing. He raises his arms in astonishment at the sight of a still (left) inscribed 'The Q--n's Double Destlled [sic] Essence of Bergamot' [with 'ot' scored through and replaced by 'i']; from this the Queen's head emerges, facing the head of Bergami, which issues from an arm of the still. This is surrounded by smoke and stands on a bench, behind which on a low platform stand Louise Demont and Majocchi, pointing at the object, the latter saying: "Non me Ricordo." A barrister, probably Copley, stands near them, saying: "It's a strong proof but froieng [sic] brew'd and out of our power to discover the Makers." Eldon, dropping his pen, says: "This is cuesed [sic] strong it is certainly doubled proof of their Private works." A profile (? Liverpool) leans forward from the left margin, saying: "My L--ds he can swear to the Smell and Taste." Peers, some astonished, some amused, are seated on benches between Chancellor and witnesses. Only the Duke of York can be identified; he says: "I'll have one made for my Travelling Carriage." A bishop: "We must get Bergami to calk it up."."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
George IV, wearing a coat and top hat, punches a plainly dressed Caroline in the face on a dirt street in front of buildings; blood gushes from her nose as she falls backwards from the blow. Lady Conyngham, elegantly dressed, stands behind the King and converses with a soldier on the left edge of the design. Another man, dressed as royalty in a fur-lined cape, stands in a doorway on the right, angrily pointing and yelling at a woman; a sign posted next to the doorway advertises "The Life of King Henry VIII." A dog runs in the foreground on the right, its collar reading "John Bull."

"Ministers, much burlesqued, registering terror or anxiety, are grouped on either side of a large bottle of 'Evidence against the Queen' from which rise clouds of smoke, inscribed 'Lies' (four times) and 'Non mi Ricordo' [five times]. On the left sits Liverpool, saying: "We shall be all sent to the Devil." Next him Eldon scowls: "D--n that Non mi Ricordo." Wellington, fiercely anxious, stands behind Liverpool's chair holding a scimitar. Facing Liverpool sits Sidmouth, holding his clyster-pipe to his nostril, and exclaiming: "O! how reviving." Castlereagh exclaims: "Oh! L--d we shall be cast." Gifford says: "Oh! the secrets will come out." A seventh, (?) Depiction of George IV in a rage against family members (Frederick and William) who are unwilling to lend their support for his divorce from Caroline; he kicks a man (Bloomfield?) while pursuing his brothers, who are in uniform and seen fleeing on the right side of the design. Papers inscribed "Protocol" and "No devorce [sic]" fly in the air. A toppled chair rests on the floor to the left of the King; a bottle of wine falls off a table behind him, upon which fruit (including pineapples) rests. A John Bull figure watches the scene from the background on the left, an astonished look on his face

"Queen Caroline, stout and flamboyant, stands on the balcony over the porch of Wood's house in South Audley Street, looking down complacently with folded arms at the cheering crowd which fills the street. Alderman Wood stands cringingly behind her. A boy sits on a lamp-bracket, looking up, saying, "I've got a good place Jack I can see the whole of her." A sailor climbs one pillar of the porch, a little chimney-sweep swarms up the other. A man on horseback says: "Come down you Smutty." Another man shouts: "Clap my Boy! Clap her!!" A boy with newspapers inscribed 'Times', bawls: "Never Vas sich Times as these" [a catch-phrase]; cf. British Museum Satires No. 13729. The street is densely packed; spectators wave from the opposite windows and balcony. In the distance is a church, on the roof of which are spectators; one looks through a telescope, another asks "Can you see it."
