Abstract:
Three men seated at the table, the one in the center with a fierce, 'boar-like' face. With his right hand he points to a paper "Ext-----y Gazette" which lies on the table, while with his left hand he literally button-holes the man on his left. The man on his right slouches in his chair as he dozes with his mouth open and his hand in his vest pocket

Abstract:
"A wild affray round a circular gaming-table seen at close range, only the heads and shoulders of those on the nearer side of the table being visible. An angry military officer wearing a cocked hat, with an empty wallet on the table before him, leans forward aiming his pistol at a lean and elderly man whose 'chapeau bras' and long pigtail indicate that he is French. The latter covers a pile of guineas with his hand and aims a pistol at his assailant. Some of the players are falling over in their eagerness to escape. Between the combatants, and on the further side of the table, one man holds a chair above his head, about to smite the officer; a fellow-officer raises a bottle and a candle-stick to strike the Frenchman. All the persons (sixteen) are in violent action, with which their expressions correspond. Some are in flight, others about to intervene. On the table are a triple candle-stick, a dice-box and dice, a sword, a hat containing coins, and a purse."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
A couple, much caricatured, bow to each other as they meet on a pavement. The man is very tall with exaggerated long legs wears dandy costume with bell-shaped top-hat, and trousers strapped under high-heeled boots with spurs, his very thin cane is his left hand. The much shorter lady is given height by the scoop of an enormously high bonnet. She wears a coat trimmed in ermine and matching large muff. Another couple on the left and two men with their chests puffed out walk from the right are similarly dressed and caricatured

A full-length portrait of a Turkish gentleman wearing a turban and long robes and carrying a long-stemmed pipe. The turban and robes are drawn using a tiny pinprick design that pierces entirely through the paper. A secondary sheet with attached gold foil appliqué is positioned beneath the pinprick design to allow the gold to shine through the pinpricks imparting an appearance of gold flecked clothing
