A monstrous creature representing the new ministry (formed on the day of the publication of this print) is shown in the shape of a fox standing on its right hind leg, with eight heads and no fore legs. The central head on top is that of the Duke of Portland, surrounded by other ministerial candidates. Below the fox's raised tail are the heads of Lord North and Charles Fox; above the former issues a blast of air signed "Coalition." Below the design and on both sides of the title are ten verses beginning, "This many-headed Monster of the Land / At present on one Leg is seen to stand."

"The Prince and Mrs. Fitzherbert in the bedroom of a French inn ; a maidservant enters (left) with a tea-tray. The Prince, yawning and stretching with a dissipated air, is seated on the edge of a table; the revelry of the past night is indicated by an overturned decanter, broken wineglass, and a broken candle. Another candlestick and broken wine-glass lie on the ground, together with the Prince's top-boots. He wears slippers and his stockings are ungartered, the 'honi soit qui mal y' [pense] ribbon hanging round his leg. Mrs. Fitzherbert, seated on the bed, draws on a stocking; her garter inscribed 'Fox' lies on the ground (cf. British Museum satire 7306). The bed is heavily draped with fringed curtains. Sir Thomas Rumbold is depicted vomiting his ill-gotten wealth into a chamber pot decorated with a thistle. Kneeling beside it and embracing the chamber pot is Henry Dundas, Lord Advocate of Scotland who oversaw the prosecution of Rumbold in 1782-3. Rumbold's ankles are chained to two weights signed "Sureties," a reference to restriction on his leaving the country before the case was dropped in 1783. He is supported by his son, Captain Rumbold of 1st Life Guards, dressed in his regimentals and wearing a gorget. Behind them, an Englishman gallops on an elephant saddled with an enormous bag signed "Roupees." An Indian sitting behind him is holding a tall parasol above his head

"Heading to printed verses: 'A Ballad, Occasioned by a Certain Earl's styling himself a Sans Culotte Citizen in the House of Lords.' Stanhope, wearing a bonnet-rouge inscribed 'Liberty', tramples on a scroll inscribed 'A Deo et Rege', beside which lies his (overturned) earl's coronet. He capers bare-legged, his breeches flutter to the ground from his left hand. In his right is a tricolour flag inscribed 'Vive l Egalite'; the flagstaff is surmounted by an ass's head, which looks down at Stanhope, who looks ecstatically up at it, his head turned in profile to the left. Above the design: "---off, off, ye lendings." Stanhope, his coronet, breeches, and flag, are in full light, the rest of the design is in shadow, clouds forming a background. On the left three members of the House of Lords flee, their backs towards him: the Lord Chancellor (Loughborough), in hat, wig, and robes, as the Speaker of the Lords, carrying a document: 'Vote of the House of Lords One Dissentient Stan[hope]'. Next him is a judge carrying 'Magna Charta'; the third is a bishop with a 'Bible' under his arm. "Britannia, massive, but childlike, sleeps in a large wicker cradle, rocked by Addington, dressed as an elderly woman, who is seated on a low stool (right). Hawkesbury, a thin and spinsterish nursemaid, (left) approaches the foot of the cradle holding out an ornate child's commode, inscribed 'French C . . k . . g Chair'. Behind the cradle appear the head and shoulders of Fox, looking furtively towards Britannia and Addington, while he hangs out napkins to dry on a cord stretched across the fireplace; one is 'French Cambrick'. Britannia sleeps with her thumb in her mouth, her right arm across the coverlet, holding her shield and spear; her uncovered shoulder shows that she is wearing a Roman corslet. The head of the cradle is inscribed: 'Requiescat in Pace'. Addington sings: "o, By - my Baby, my Baby, - o, By - in Peace! my dearee! - For such a sweet Nap as This, You never had, far nor nearee! - so. By - my Baby, my dearee!' On the ground is a casserole of 'French Pap'; on the plain chimney-piece are a bottle labelled 'Composing Draught' and a box of 'Opiate Pills'. Above it is a print of 'Buonaparte' playing a fiddle and capering ecstatically. On the wall (left) are a broadside: 'Rule Britannia . . . Britons never will be - ['slaves' torn off] and (right) a birch-rod tied with tricolour ribbon. Addington, Hawkesbury, and Fox all wear their hair in their accustomed manner with the addition of tricolour ribbons.
